Liese Vinaigrette by Lang Weinessig, light and delicate

Liese Vinaigrette with Riesling by Lang Weinessig is an organic oak-aged vinegar preparation in which matured white wine vinegar meets Riesling wine. It comes ready-seasoned in the bottle, light, mild, and with a hint of wood.

Liese Vinaigrette with Riesling is a light vinegar preparation from Lang Weinessig in the Southern Palatinate, thickened with grape must and seasoned with sea salt. The 180 ml bottle contains pure seasoning; you add the oil yourself, and a single spoonful is enough for a bowl of leafy greens.

Light, delicate, and with a hint of oak

Liese smells of Riesling and light wood, and it remains lean on the palate with a sweetness that only hints at its presence. The acidity carries the flavor without stinging, as the cask has mellowed its sharpness over a long maturation period.

On the leaves, it forms a thin, glossy film that keeps the salad's structure crisp. Where a dark balsamic vinegar makes a bold statement, this seasoning remains light and clear, allowing the vegetables underneath to retain their own character.

The seasoning hits the leaves directly; you choose the oil to go with it, which is why the salad tastes like salad first, and like the dressing only afterwards.

The vinaigrette for light salads and the frying pan

Liese is made for salads that can handle a good vinegar while remaining delicate: green leafy salad, cucumber, grated carrot, or lukewarm potatoes. It also works well over steamed asparagus, where a heavy sauce would overwhelm the flavor.

In the pan, the salad dressing becomes a tool for warm cuisine. Deglaze a fried schnitzel with it, and the browned bits combine with the acidity to form a light jus. A splash in cottage cheese served with jacket potatoes adds the same freshness to a very simple dish.

The same spoonful pairs perfectly with steamed fish, white beans, or hard-boiled eggs, because its acidic base distinguishes the ingredients from one another and gives every bite contour.

Riesling from the Southern Palatinate, rounded in oak casks

Wine vinegar is created when acetic acid bacteria convert the alcohol in wine into acid, and whatever rests in wood afterwards loses its harsh edges. The oak cask rounds off the white wine vinegar to such an extent that it can accommodate the Riesling wine without overpowering it.

Riesling is the leading grape variety of the Palatinate, and its bright fruit remains a recognizable note in the bottle. Grape must adds a calm sweetness underneath, sea salt provides the edge, and Lang Weinessig bottles the result in certified organic quality.

Inside the wooden cask, the vinegar continues to work slowly; oxygen penetrates through the staves, and with every month, the acidity loses some of its initial harshness.

Young leaves, good oil, one spoonful

A cool, dark shelf is all the bottle needs, and you should give it a quick shake before pouring so that the grape must is redistributed. For a quick summer salad, you need young leaves, a good oil, and one spoonful of Liese; nothing else is required. Once opened, the seasoning lasts a long time because the acidity is self-preserving; a tightly closed lid is sufficient.

If you are looking for its dark, fruity sister, choose Albert with Dornfelder; if you need a larger supply, choose the large 500 ml bottle. Everything else from the Palatinate manufacturer can be found under Lang Weinessig.
