The Pfeffersack und Soehne Pork BBQ Rub is a complex spice blend based on smoked salt, mustard seeds, allspice and dried herbs, but also contains cinnamon and chili for that special kick.

This herbal Pork BBQ Rub is strong and piquant, rounded off by a spicy smoky note. Perfect for delicious steaks and cutlets! It is also particularly suitable for smoking pulled pork or spare ribs, a grilling trend that has been spreading for several years. But this classic BBQ blend, which was specially developed for tender pork from the grill, pan or roasting dish, is a delight not only in summer.

Pfeffersack und Soehne – the Spice Manufactory

The Pork BBQ Rub is produced in the Pfeffersack und Soehne spice manufactory in Koblenz according to precisely refined and well-guarded recipes, before it is coarsely ground and placed in the black ceramic jar. This preserves the valuable essential oils and aromas. You can crush it finely in a mortar before use or sprinkle it directly over food and dishes.

Pork BBQ Rub – our tip

Depending on how fine you like the rub, you can finely crush it in a mortar shortly before use, rub it onto the grilled meat and let it sit for about half an hour. You can also make a BBQ glaze from olive oil and a little brown sugar and brush the meat several times during cooking. For larger cuts, simply mix BBQ Pork Rub with honey, orange juice and olive oil, massage it into the meat the day before, let it marinate chilled, and then cook it the next day, e.g., slowly on the grill, until the meat falls apart gently but is still juicy.
