It is rather unsuitable for cooking and simply a waste for seasoning plain pasta water. We recommend the Rosé Salt Flakes as a classic table salt for hand-finishing. You can crush it between your fingers if it's not fine enough for you. Add it to steaks, salads, fish, and seafood.

For the production of these crystal salt flakes, pink crystal salt from the Punjab Mountains is used. A brine is made from the crystal salt and directed into large evaporation ponds. Now, the interplay of sun and wind begins. Just like in a sea saltworks, a fine layer of salt forms on the surface of the ponds on hot days. These are then carefully harvested by hand and post-dried in the sun. The Rosé Salt Flakes are thus made from rock salt.

The Salt Range is a low mountain range in Punjab, Pakistan. It extends in a north-facing arc over approx. 200 kilometers between the Indus River in the west and the Jhelam River in the east and southeast, with a maximum width of 30 kilometers. The name of the Salt Range is derived from the rock salt deposits, sometimes several hundred meters thick, on the southern flank of the mountains.

The Rosé Salt Flakes are carefully selected by the Pfeffersack und Soehne spice manufactory in Koblenz and sourced in their country of origin before being naturally pure in the black ceramic jar. This way, the aromas are preserved and protected. It can be finely crushed again in a mortar just before use or sprinkled directly over food and dishes.
