Marzadro Espressioni Aromatica Grappa Riserva Limited Edition

The Marzadro Grappa Espressioni Aromatica is a very special Italian grappa. The limited edition Grappa Espressioni are among Marzadro's highest quality grappas, characterized by a particularly long maturation period in wooden barrels. This is the case with the Marzadro Grappa Espressioni Aromatica, which was allowed to mature for four years in oak barriques. The amber-colored grappa from Trentino is distilled from the pomace of aromatic Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau grapes. The mild grappa has an aromatic scent and a fruity taste with gentle woody notes and hints of vanilla, and despite 43% alcohol, it is wonderfully smooth on the palate.

The Marzadro Grappa Espressioni Aromatica is released annually in a limited edition of only 2,500 bottles and packaged in a high-quality round gift box, making the grappa a thoughtful, special gift for all grappa drinkers and spirits enthusiasts.

Grappa Espressioni – Distilleria Marzadro

Distilleria Marzadro is one of Italy's best grappa distilleries. Its history began in 1949 in the post-war period when Sabrina Marzadro in Rovereto, not far from Lake Garda, began to learn the art of distilling and to produce a good grappa from the pomace of the surrounding winemakers. And that is exactly what her family still does today.

Between September and December, work continues uninterrupted around the clock for 100 days to distill tons of fresh, selected pomace every day. The pomace comes from the best classic autochthonous grape varieties of Trentino, grown on soils whose optimal climatic conditions favor the growth of the grapes. The raw materials are carefully selected by Andrea Marzadro personally. The pomace delivered to the distillery is still rich in must, in order to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the original grape varieties. In this way, the fragrances and aromas are preserved and their intensity is further enhanced by powerful storage systems.

The distillation is carried out in the traditional way using the bain-marie steam method in a discontinuous still, entirely in accordance with Trentino custom. The stills are made of copper according to ancient craftsmanship. This material is an optimal heat conductor, which highlights the characteristic fragrances and aromas in all their uniqueness. Every single phase of grappa production is monitored by a computer-aided control system that prevents the pomace from being exposed to temperature fluctuations. The resulting uniform temperature favors the softness and special fragrance of Marzadro grappas. Highly developed technology and craftsmanship thus form a harmonious unit to guarantee the highest level of quality.
