The orange blossom honey from the Marqués de Valdueza winery is an amber-colored, slightly caramelized honey from Spain. The honey has a delicate floral scent of orange blossoms and citrus fruits. It possesses a refined sweetness, is aromatic and long-lasting. It tastes great on bread as well as in herbal teas, with venison or as a glaze for poultry or cheese.

Marqués de Valdueza – Spanish Honey

Among the products of Marqués de Valdueza, in addition to red wine, red wine vinegar and olive oil, is this honey, which complements the chain of artisanal products that the Count of Valdueza produces on his lands in Extremadura and Avila.

Sustainable work with means that respect the environment is part of the philosophy of the old aristocratic family. Romantics will say that the Valdueza family is one of the last families who still drive cattle from Extremadura to Ávila on horseback. For gourmets, the name Valdueza means a magnificent olive oil, red wine, vinegar and honey.

The work of the bee not only provides us with an excellent product, but also performs pollination, which is fundamental to the ecosystem of agriculture and vineyards. Working with bees and producing honey has therefore been practiced for many generations on the Valdueza estates.

Since the cold-extracted honey has not undergone any physical or chemical treatment, it tends to return to its original, solidified state over time, i.e., to crystallize. If you like, you can place it in a glass of warm water (max. 40 degrees), and the orange blossom honey will liquefy again.
