Sea Buckthorn Pulp – no added sugar – 290g

Sea buckthorn pulp with no added sugar, this is cooked and finely sieved sea buckthorn berries - meaning 100% fruit without added sugar, without preservatives or flavourings. Pure and unadulterated, with a full, aromatic flavour. Even though the product is legally a pulp, its consistency is as liquid as a juice.

In the kitchen, the finely tart, slightly bitter sea buckthorn pulp can be used in many ways. This single-variety sea buckthorn puree flavours soups such as pumpkin or carrot soup, and sauces, for example, for game dishes, duck breast or beef. It goes well with autumn vegetables such as savoy cabbage or Brussels sprouts, and a tablespoon of sea buckthorn pulp refines your salad dressing.

But of course, the wild fruit can also be used in desserts and sweet dishes, for example, try panna cotta with sea buckthorn instead of raspberry pulp or fill Berliner donuts with the tart-sour pulp. The puree from the small fruits harmonises particularly well with oranges and should actually be a staple in every kitchen.

After opening, the 100% fruit sea buckthorn pulp should be stored in the refrigerator.

Sea Buckthorn – the lemon of the North

Originally, wild sea buckthorn comes from Nepal. Botanically, sea buckthorn is an Elaeagnaceae plant and the sea buckthorn berry is a pseudo-drupe. These wild berries can be collected and processed into sea buckthorn pulp, jam, juice or liqueur, and enjoyed dried as a tea.
