Chili Ketchup with fruity heat from England
Stokes Chili Ketchup is a fruity tomato ketchup featuring a spicy preparation of red chili peppers. Not an industrial ketchup, no brutal heat – just a ripe tomato flavor with a warmth that glows rather than burns.
Chili Ketchup from Stokes is a tomato ketchup from Suffolk, England, seasoned with a blend of dried chilies. It contains 169g of sun-ripened Italian tomatoes per 100g of ketchup – which is why it tastes so intensely of tomato. Vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free, sweetened with unrefined raw cane sugar, and seasoned with a 3% chili blend. The tomatoes ripen in the Italian sun before being turned into ketchup in Suffolk.
Full tomato flavor with a pleasant chili warmth
169g of tomatoes per 100g of ketchup make it thick and fruity, with the chili paste adding a layer of mild heat.
The raw cane sugar rounds out the sweetness, the spirit vinegar provides a sharp edge, and cayenne pepper and garlic add depth. Fruity, spicy, and tangy, this ketchup dances on the tongue without taking your breath away. It loves bold flavors and goes well with everything from the grill or the deep fryer.
In the glass, it glows deep red and thick, with the aroma of ripe tomatoes and a subtle chili note. If you prefer it milder, reach for its classic brother; if you are looking for more fire, stay right here.
Fruity warmth for fries and the grill
This rich Chili Ketchup goes perfectly with steaks, burgers, hot dogs, French fries, and home fries.
It shows off its fruity side on sweet potato fries or alongside a bratwurst, and a spoonful in chili con carne or a BBQ marinade adds warmth without the heat shock. Scrambled eggs in the morning, a toasted cheese sandwich in the evening – anywhere the mild ketchup usually sits, the spicy version can step in. If you love to grill, stir it into a barbecue sauce or brush it onto spare ribs in the final minutes of cooking.
Alongside the mild Real Tomato Ketchup, this is the fiery variant, and with the Burger Relish, every grill plate gets a great companion. Further varieties are waiting for you in our ketchup shelf.
Cooked by Rick Sheepshanks in Suffolk
Since 2004, Stokes has been cooking in small batches in Suffolk, England, using select ingredients and no artificial flavorings.
Founder Rick Sheepshanks started with mayonnaise and a tomato ketchup that turned out so well he even used it to get his daughter to eat vegetables. For its spicy brother, 169g of sun-ripened Italian tomatoes per 100g are gently reduced, sweetened with raw cane sugar, and acidified with spirit vinegar, along with cayenne pepper, garlic, and the savory chili preparation. A ketchup only becomes this dense with patience, as Rick has insisted upon from the very beginning.
The product range continued to grow as early as 2005, but the rule remained the same: only the best ingredients for homemade recipes. In 2016, the Rendlesham-based manufacturer was counted among Britain's "CoolBrands" alongside Apple and Spotify, and today over 60 sauces leave the old stable kitchens. The name originates from the nearby Staverton oak forest – "Staverton and Oaks" was shortened to Stokes.
After opening, place the 249ml bottle in the refrigerator and consume the ketchup within about six weeks. More from Suffolk can be found in the Stokes assortment. This is how ketchup is done.
