Tomato ketchup in the large bottle with plenty of tomato
Stokes Real Tomato Ketchup in the large 490 ml bottle is a fruity tomato ketchup with a high tomato content. For everyone who loves ketchup and uses it just as much for cooking in pots and pans as they do on their fries.
Stokes Real Tomato Ketchup is a tomato ketchup from Suffolk, England, also available in a large 490 ml bottle. For every 100 g of ketchup, 200 g of sun-ripened Italian tomatoes are reduced, which is why it tastes so full and fruity. Vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free, with absolutely no artificial flavorings. A pantry staple for those who use this classic often and love using it for cooking.
Full of tomato, packed with goodness
200 g of tomatoes per 100 g of ketchup – hardly any other ketchup is this fruity and dense.
Raw cane sugar provides a subtle sweetness, spirit vinegar adds acidity, and garlic and onion provide the seasoning. Fruity, juicy, and savory, it glides over the tongue without the sticky sweetness of many mass-produced ketchups. It pairs perfectly with all savory foods and goes well with everything from the grill or the deep fryer.
It glows a deep red in the glass, thick and smooth at the same time. Children love it on sausages, and adults enjoy stirring it into sauces. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll want to keep the large bottle on hand.
From fry dip to kitchen all-rounder
In the large bottle, this tomato ketchup becomes an all-rounder for the entire kitchen, extending far beyond just fries. Those who cook a lot will find the 490 ml lasts much longer.
A good dash elevates a Bolognese, mixed with oil, vinegar, and a splash of Worcestershire it becomes a salad dressing, and with chopped bell peppers, onions, and garlic, you can whip up a quick burger relish. Diluted with broth, it creates a tomato soup or a pasta sauce, and a spoonful belongs in every meatball mixture. This gives almost any savory dish its fruity tomato note.
Mixed half-and-half with mayonnaise, it is a delight as a classic cocktail sauce, and with curry powder, you can conjure up your own curry ketchup – or simply reach for the ready-made curry ketchup. For smaller quantities, it is also available as a 257 ml bottle.
Double gold and the star of the manufacturer
In 2002 and 2005, Real Tomato Ketchup won gold at the British Great Taste Award and remains the most popular Stokes product to this day. Not every ketchup manages two consecutive gold stars, especially since Great Taste involves blind tasting.
Founder Rick Sheepshanks started with mayonnaise and ketchup in 2004, and this specific ketchup became the star of all their sauces. In small batches, Stokes gently reduces the Italian tomatoes in Suffolk, England, without artificial flavorings. Reducing 200 g of tomatoes to make 100 g of ketchup takes time, but the result is pure fruit, just as Rick intended from the very beginning.
In 2016, the Rendlesham-based manufacturer was named one of Britain's CoolBrands, alongside Apple and Spotify. Because it is made without artificial preservatives, store the 490 ml bottle in the refrigerator after opening and consume the ketchup within about six weeks. More from Suffolk can be found in the Stokes product range. The classic in a large format.
