Creamy mayonnaise with fresh free-range eggs from England
Stokes Real Mayonnaise is a creamy mayo stirred with fresh free-range eggs. No egg powder, no mass-produced sauce from a bucket – real eggs make it full-bodied, but also mean it only stays fresh for a few weeks.
Real Mayonnaise by Stokes is a creamy mayo from Suffolk, England, stirred from fresh free-range eggs, rapeseed oil, and a splash of extra virgin olive oil. Full-bodied and well-rounded, with a delicate hint of mustard. Lactose-free and gluten-free, seasoned with unrefined raw cane sugar and honored with a Great Taste Award in 2018.
Creamy, full-bodied, and with real eggs
Fresh free-range eggs provide its color and richness, rapeseed oil makes it creamy, and a drop of olive oil rounds it off.
It contains 75% rapeseed oil, plus 12% whole eggs and 5% extra virgin olive oil, along with mustard flour and a little raw cane sugar. It feels creamy, full-bodied, and honest on the tongue, without the oily aftertaste of cheap commercial products. It enjoys savory companions and goes well with everything from the oven or deep fryer. The free-range chickens forage outdoors, which you can taste in the rich color of the yolk.
In the jar, it is light and dense, with the rich yellow of real eggs. A spoonful on warm fries, and you immediately taste the difference compared to pale, budget mayo. Once you have tried a sauce stirred so carefully, you won't want to go back to the smooth tube.
The creamy soul of fries and salads
This rich mayonnaise is a classic pairing for fries and roasted potatoes, as well as on sandwiches and burgers. It’s a delight on warm fries and serves as the foundation for so much cold cuisine, from salads to sandwiches.
It binds potato salad, turns boiled eggs into egg salad, and accompanies cold roasts or boiled ham. Whether used as a dip, in coleslaw, or as the base for a remoulade dressing, it shows off its full creaminess. It’s a must for the fondue table on New Year’s Eve, and a dollop on oven-roasted vegetables turns a side dish into a little treat. Even a simple buttered bread with radishes becomes a pleasure with it.
If you prefer it spicier, reach for the Mustard Honey Mayonnaise, and the Real Tomato Ketchup is a great companion for a barbecue. Further creamy varieties are waiting for you on the mayonnaise shelf.
Winner of the 2018 Great Taste Award
The whole Stokes story began in 2004 with a good mayonnaise, and the "Real" mayo took home the Great Taste Award in 2018. It is considered a rigorous seal of quality in Great Britain, for which judges taste products anonymously.
Founder Rick Sheepshanks first wanted an honest mayo; only later did ketchup and all the other sauces follow. To this day, Stokes stirs in small batches in Suffolk, England, using fresh free-range eggs and no artificial flavorings. Good taste needs no shortcuts, as Rick has maintained from the beginning.
Because it contains real, fresh eggs instead of powder, the 356 ml bottle only stays fresh for a few weeks from production – an honest stand against preservatives. Keep it refrigerated and plan on using it, and there won't be any left over. You can find more from Suffolk in the Stokes product range. This is what a real mayo tastes like.
