Nordic Morning Cold Tea by Plukt is a caffeine-free cold brew from Latvia, made for preparation with cold water. The bags contain fermented fireweed, freeze-dried blueberries, and mint. Fruity, fresh, and minty, it is an infusion that only reveals its full aroma when chilled.

Nordic Morning Cold Tea by Plukt is a fruity, fresh organic cold brew from Latvia that is prepared exclusively with cold water. Three ingredients come together: fermented fireweed leaves, freeze-dried blueberries, and mint—completely caffeine-free. The pack contains 25 g, enough for many chilled carafes.

Fruity, minty, smooth

Nordic Morning Cold Tea tastes fruitily of blueberries, with a fresh note of mint and a round, dark base of fermented fireweed. Fruity, minty, and smooth—that is how it starts the day.

Unlike tea brewed with hot water, this cold brew remains smooth and free of bitterness because the cold water releases the aromas slowly and gently. In the morning, we pour it with cold water and serve it from a carafe, with a few ice cubes and a sprig of fresh mint. On hot summer days, it is a lovely alternative to lemonade—fruity, but without the sugar—and is also a refreshing companion for a picnic basket or at the desk. Only with cold water

The Nordic Morning Cold Tea is specifically designed for cold infusion. The cold water extracts the fruity and minty notes without the tannins becoming bitter, leaving the cup balanced and refreshing.

The freeze-dried blueberries provide the fruitiness, the mint provides the freshness, and the fermented fireweed provides a dark foundation. These three ingredients create a drink that requires no boiling and practically prepares itself, especially in summer. The bags are made of plant fiber. "PLŪKT" means "picked" in Latvian, and that is exactly what goes into every ingredient. We love that.

Māra and the cold brew idea from Latvia

Behind Plukt is Māra Lieplapa, who gathers wild herbs from her homeland and processes them into new ideas, as Lieplapa enjoys sharing. At her teahouse in the small village of Saulessēta in the Prauliena municipality, she holds masterclasses and hosts tea ceremonies. What began as a small idea has grown into a brand whose teas are now enjoyed far beyond Latvia.

Eight to ten minutes in cold water

Rinse a container with clear water, pour 250 ml of cold water over one bag, and swirl briefly. The mixture should steep for 8 to 10 minutes, then the berries, mint, and leaves will release their aroma into the cool water. For a carafe, plan on about four bags per liter. In the refrigerator, the cold brew will keep for up to 8 hours, giving you something fresh to enjoy all morning long. Swirl briefly before pouring to ensure the aroma is evenly distributed throughout the carafe.
