Peppermint tea from Plukt is a clear organic herbal infusion from Latvia, crafted from nothing but the hand-picked leaves of true peppermint, Mentha piperita. The box contains 20 g of loose leaves sourced from certified organic wild meadows. The tea pours a light yellow-green, offering a refreshing, cool crispness.

Pure mint from Nordic meadows

This tin contains only one thing: real peppermint, hand-picked from certified organic meadows in Latvia. No flavorings, no additives, no frills. Many only know peppermint tea from industrial teabags, where it often tastes flat and papery. Using whole, hand-picked leaves creates an entirely different infusion—clear in aroma and full in flavor, because the essential oils are not lost during processing.

The leaves are gently dried using wind and solar energy, preserving the essential oils that give the mint its cool freshness. The loose peppermint tea is packaged in a paper box. "PLŪKT" means "picked" in Latvian, which perfectly describes the manual labor behind it. We love that.

Māra and the wild herbs of Latvia

Behind Plukt is Māra Lieplapa, who collects and carefully processes the wild plants of her homeland. At her tea house in the small village of Saulessēta in the Prauliena municipality, she hosts masterclasses and tea ceremonies. A small idea has grown into a brand whose wild herbs are now enjoyed far beyond Latvia. That even a simple mint can show so much character is a testament to the care taken from the meadow to the box.

It’s clearest when enjoyed pure

Rinse your cup with hot water, add 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of loose leaves, and pour boiling water over them. Covered, the leaves release their essential oils undisturbed over 5 to 7 minutes. It is clearest when enjoyed pure, though a spoonful of honey makes it even smoother. On warm days, it tastes great cold, too: add the leaves to 500 ml of cold water and let it steep for several hours to create a refreshing mint iced tea.
