Six wild herbs work together: peppermint, jasmine, lady's mantle, wild raspberry leaves, woodruff, and blackcurrant leaves, creating a full, multi-layered aroma with a sweet aftertaste. A tea for the white nights

In the far North, it barely gets dark in midsummer; the twilight stretches for hours and the nights remain bright. This is exactly the mood reflected in the name White Night, an infusion for long, quiet summer evenings. In Latvia, the solstice festival of Jāņi is celebrated, where the gathering of wild herbs and flowers has always played a part, which is where this tea gets its bright, floral soul.

The wild herbs are hand-picked in certified organic meadows and Nordic forests of Latvia and gently dried using wind and solar energy. The pyramid bags are made from plant fibers. PLŪKT means "picked" in Latvian, which accurately describes the manual labor behind it. We like that.

Māra and the bright nights of Latvia

Behind Plukt is Māra Lieplapa, who collects the wild herbs of her homeland and combines them into blends, as Lieplapa enjoys sharing. At her tea house in the small village of Saulessēta in the Prauliena municipality, she hosts masterclasses and tea ceremonies. A small idea has grown into a brand whose wild herbs are now enjoyed far beyond Latvia.

Steep covered for five to seven minutes

Rinse your cup with hot water, place a pyramid bag inside, and pour boiling water over it. White Night needs to steep covered for 5 to 7 minutes for the herbs, flowers, and leaves to release their full aroma. On warm evenings, it can be made into a cold brew: place one bag in 500 ml of cold water, shake briefly, and let steep for up to 8 hours. It is best enjoyed plain, though a spoonful of honey makes it even softer. As a small gift, White Night in its pretty tin is also a delight, especially for people who love the North.
