Trio of Tartine spreads gift set – three vegetable creams in a sausage net
The trio of Tartine spreads gift set from Rue Traversette brings together three vegetarian vegetable creams, 90g each, in a sausage net: black olive with orange peel, artichoke with white pepper, and tomato with sundried tomato. A gift with a sense of humor.
The Trio of Tartine spreads gift set from Rue Traversette is a gift set containing three 90g jars, 270g total. It includes black olive cream with orange peel, artichoke cream with white pepper, and tomato cream with sundried tomatoes. The three are packaged in a sausage net, and that very contradiction is the joke behind it.
Three creams, three characters
The three jars deliberately cover different profiles, ensuring there is something for every palate at the table.
The black olive is the most tart, almost salty, and the orange peel adds a fruity lift to this depth. The artichoke is the most delicate, with its typically subtle bitterness, which the white pepper gently warms. The tomato is the sunniest—fruity, sweet, and concentrated, as fresh and dried tomatoes are combined.
Placed side-by-side on a board, they create a small play of colors from black to green to red, and one can see immediately that three different signatures were at work here. Hearty, spicy, fruity—that is how the roles are distributed, and none of the three takes anything away from the others. If you start with the artichoke and work your way up to the olive, you can taste each of the three individually.
A gift with a wink
Among our gifts, this set is one of the few that brings a grin to people's faces as soon as it is unwrapped.
“Sauvez un cochon, mangez une tartine” is written on the label—save a pig, eat a slice of bread. That these three vegetarian creams are packed in a sausage net of all things is exactly the kind of joke Rue Traversette is known for.
This makes the set a perfect gift for a dinner party, a birthday present for gourmets, and for anyone who eats a meat-free diet without making it a philosophy of life. On an appetizer board with baguette, radishes, and a few olives, it effortlessly becomes a small starter.
If you discover a favorite, you can also find them individually in our shop, such as the black olive cream or the tomato cream.
From the Conserverie in Languedoc
All three creams are cooked in Saint-André-de-Sangonis in the Hérault region, where Stéphane Strobl has been running his cannery since 2015.
About ten people work there, cutting the vegetables by hand, cooking them in kettles, and pasteurizing them gently. There are no preservatives, artificial colors, or artificial flavors added, and in the summer, up to 80 percent of the processed vegetables come from the region.
Stéphane started in 2005 on the Rue de la Traversette in the neighboring village of Saint-Pons-de-Mauchiens, the very street that gave the brand its name. Previously, he sold corks to the local winemakers. In June 2026, he was recognized by the Hérault Chamber of Trades as a "responsible entrepreneur," among other things for his regional sourcing and his efforts to reduce waste.
With toasted baguette, the evening is saved
Take the jars out of the fridge in good time, as all three creams taste much rounder at room temperature. Once opened, they should be kept refrigerated and consumed within a few days. Serve them with toasted baguette and a glass of rosé, and the evening is saved. You can find more jars from the same kitchen in the Rue Traversette range.
