Tartine le plaisir by Rue Traversette is a fine chickpea purée, a vegetarian spread made from finely puréed chickpeas, onions, olive oil, and lemon confit, which founder Stephane has refined with garlic, cloves, and turmeric.

The Tartine le plaisir truly brings pleasure. The fine chickpea purée is refined with lemon confit and tastes creamy and fresh. It is an homage to the time Stéphane spent in Morocco and where he fell in love with oriental cuisine.

The creamy chickpea purée tastes great on any type of bread, which you can also decorate with sesame and paprika powder. But the Tartine le plaisir also goes perfectly with fish, canned sardines, grilled poultry or meat, and as a side dish for pasta, rice, and potato dishes.

With great love, Rue Traversette has been cooking all the beautiful and good things that the vegetable and herb garden provides in its cauldrons since 2005. In Stephane Strobl's small canning factory, Stephane, who has a Bavarian father and a French mother, creates wonderful vegetarian spreads and vegetable creams. Each product embodies the talent and creativity to reinterpret known mixtures and complement them with original ingredients. In the small town of Saint-André-de-Sangonis in the heart of the Languedoc, between the vineyards in the Hérault department, Stephane has fulfilled a lifelong dream with his vegetable cannery and ensures delicious, aromatic vegetables in jars that bring the unadulterated, pure taste to our homes.
