Weingut Nimmervoll – Fuxberg Traminer – State Winner
The Fuxberg Traminer 2018 from Weingut Nimmervoll is a highly aromatic single-vineyard wine from the Austrian wine region Wagram. With 14% alcohol by volume, it is an elegant white wine with a full body; its 5.5g/l acidity and 12.7g/l sweetness make it well-balanced and long-lasting. As a state winner, it is among the best wines of Wagram. It pairs well with spicy Asian dishes, as well as seafood and mature cheese or fruity desserts.
Nimmervoll – Fuxberg Traminer
The grapes for the Nimmervoll Fuxberg Traminer grow on pure loess soils in the Fuxberg vineyard, within sight of the winery. Harvested late, the fully ripe Yellow and Red Traminer grapes are first destemmed, then pneumatically pressed after several days of maceration and spontaneously fermented. Fermented in 500l acacia wood barrels, they mature for 16 months with intensive lees contact in wood. Vinified in this way, it can be stored for at least 10 years.
The Fuxberg Traminer from Weingut Nimmervoll is the Grande Dame among Nimmervoll wines. Always with sublime self-assurance, yet always a little mysterious, she truly gives reason for enthusiasm to those who fully engage with her. Not without reason does she bear a heart on her label. It is the sheer enthusiasm of the winemaker for this unique grape variety that makes our hearts beat faster too. A unique specimen with potential for eternity.
