Weingut Nimmervoll – Pinot Blanc Wagramlöss 2023
The Nimmervoll Pinot Blanc Wagramlöss 2023 from Weingut Nimmervoll is a dry white wine from the Austrian wine region of Wagram. With a moderate alcohol content of 13% and a balance between acidity of 6.0g/l and sweetness of 3.5g/l, this Austrian wine is a pleasant companion to food. The Pinot Blanc Wagramlöss has aromas of pears and apples, and white flowers. On the palate, it is juicy, cool, and elegant.
To preserve freshness, Gregor Nimmervoll harvests the Pinot Blanc grapes as soon as they are physiologically ripe. In 2023, this required three picking passes between September 25th and October 25th, 2023. The grapes are destemmed, meaning freed from stems and stalks, and gently pressed after 12 hours of skin contact. They are then fermented on the lees in stainless steel tanks, left on their own lees, and bottled in the following spring.
This is what Gregor says about his Nimmervoll Pinot Blanc Wagramlöss: "The Wagram darling. Grown on loess. Often in the shade, yet with unexpected brilliance. Cool elegance in times of heat. Classic Burgundy style with fine acidity. Our future and already one of our lighthouses today."
Pinot Blanc and Wagram
Pinot Blanc and Wagram go well together. After all, the loess soil gives the often underestimated Pinot Blanc grape variety a special finesse and elegance. The wines of the Boden (Soil) line, which include the Pinot Blanc Wagramlöss Wagram DAC, reflect the original and unmistakable character of the region and its soil. Shaped by the unique Wagram loess soil, they are Gregor Nimmervoll's flagships.
