Questions about Linen Tea Towel – Wildflower Flow?

We are happy to help you with Linen Tales.

Wildflower Flow Linen Tea Towel by Linen Tales

The Wildflower Flow linen tea towel by Linen Tales is a floral kitchen cloth made from pure European linen, woven and stonewashed in Lithuania. Fine line-drawn wildflowers in muted watercolor tones are scattered across the light-colored base, loosely distributed with plenty of open space in between.

The Wildflower Flow linen tea towel is a kitchen cloth from Linen Tales in Vilnius that polishes glassware, lines bread baskets, and serves as a surface for picnics. Measuring 45 by 65 centimeters, it covers an entire sink, and the loop on the corner allows it to be hung up afterward.

A meadow scattered across the fabric

Delicately drawn wildflowers are loosely distributed across the light background without forming a dense pattern. There is enough open space between the blossoms to keep the towel feeling light, avoiding the look of 1970s curtain fabric. On the breakfast table, it brings the garden indoors, even when nothing is blooming outside and the windows are fogged up. For the months between November and March, this is one of the smartest purchases in the collection.

A towel that adorns the basket

Because the pattern decorates the fabric, this tea towel doesn’t belong exclusively on a hook: draped over a bread basket, placed under a fruit bowl, or used to line a picnic basket, it makes the rounds from the stove to the table and out into the open. Linen traps the warmth in the basket while allowing steam to escape, ensuring fresh rolls retain their crust instead of becoming soft on the bottom. A towel that lines the basket in the morning and dries glasses in the afternoon earns its place in the drawer.

Why the blossoms survive the wash

The fabric is printed only after it has undergone stone washing and has shrunk as much as it will, ensuring the design cannot distort within the weave. As for the colors themselves, they are checked by Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX, a certification that excludes harmful residues yarn by yarn. For a towel that comes into contact with bread and fruit, this proof is more than just a formality. The double-folded hem keeps the edges in shape for years.

Flax from European fields

The raw material is flax, a blue-flowering plant that thrives on European fields using only rainwater and requiring little in the way of pesticides. The EUROPEAN FLAX seal on Linen Tales fabric verifies the Western European origin of the fibers and makes the journey from field to bolt traceable. The weaving, printing, and sewing are then carried out in Lithuania, where the manufacturer maintains its own sewing studio and cuts every length of fabric by hand.

Why linen leaves no trace on glass

Linen fibers grow long and smooth, which is why nothing comes loose from the weave during polishing and no lint is left behind in the glass. A wine glass emerges from your hand clear, without the dull film often left by short-staple cotton. Because the fabric absorbs water and wicks it away immediately, it remains absorbent right up to the very last glass.

Wash at 40 degrees, iron on the reverse

Wash the linen tea towel on a delicate cycle at 40 degrees, keep the spin speed below 600 RPM, and air dry it. Use a mild detergent without bleach, as bleaching agents attack the printed colors. To iron, place the towel facedown while it is still slightly damp; this keeps the flowers intact.
