Navy blue that turns almost black in candlelight

Navy is a very deep blue that only reveals its blue tones in daylight and shifts to almost black in the evening. Combined with silver cutlery, cut crystal, and a white tablecloth, it creates the kind of table setting known from old dining halls. On dark wood, the same shade appears effortless and suitable for everyday use, without losing its festive quality. It also finds its place alongside white, natural tones, and brushed brass. Blue organizes a table before the first plate is even set down.

New Year's Eve that lasts until morning

On New Year's Eve, dinner stretches over hours—there are hors d'oeuvres while standing, later fondue, and eventually some soup. Wash at 40 degrees, darks with darks

Wash the linen napkins on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 40 degrees and use a mild detergent without bleach, otherwise the dark blue will lose its depth over the years. Keep the spin speed below 600 RPM and air-dry the fabric, hung up rather than folded. It is best to wash the napkins with other dark laundry so that the tone remains rich for years. A quick smoothing while still damp replaces any iron.
