Questions about Linen Napkins – Wildflower Flow – Set of 2?

We are happy to help you with Linen Tales.

Wildflower Flow Floral Napkins by Linen Tales

The Wildflower Flow linen napkins by Linen Tales are a pair of floral fabric napkins made from pure European linen, woven, printed, and hemmed in Lithuania. Illustrated meadow flowers are scattered across the light-colored background, their edges bleeding into one another like a watercolor painting.

Wildflower Flow linen napkins are a pair of fabric napkins from Linen Tales in Vilnius, each measuring 40 by 40 centimeters and tied together as a set of 2 with kitchen twine. On a birthday table, they can be placed under a cake plate, wrapped around a bouquet from the garden, or set beside a juice pitcher.

Meadow flowers drawn with soft edges

Cornflowers, yarrow, and vetch are loosely distributed on the light background, their colors bleeding into one another at the edges as if on damp watercolor paper. There is enough open space between the blooms to keep the image feeling light, ensuring it doesn't clash with patterned dinnerware. On a garden table with simple white dishes, the pattern looks just like a freshly picked bouquet. In February, it brings the meadow to a table where nothing else is in bloom.

Children's birthdays with cake and sticky hands

With eight children, a tall cream cake, and hot cocoa, the table becomes a battlefield after twenty minutes. Paper tears exactly when a child holds onto it, whereas a piece of linen withstands the tug and can even serve as a bib in a pinch. Cream, cocoa, and juice wash out at 40 degrees, and the flowers remain unchanged afterward. At the next party, the same napkin is back on the table instead of having long since ended up in the trash.

A textile that handles hundreds of washes

A printed linen napkin survives several hundred machine cycles before it has truly served its purpose. In the same time, a household with children consumes a considerable stack of paper that no one ends up counting. Because linen is considered the strongest of all natural fibers, the fabric withstands this wear and tear effortlessly, becoming softer rather than thinner in the process. This pair from Linen Tales pays for itself over years rather than just a single afternoon.

The print passes the same test as the yarn

Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX examines every yarn and every applied color for harmful residues, the pattern included. For a textile that touches children's hands and mouths all afternoon, this certification is more than just a formality. The raw material carries the EUROPEAN FLAX label, which requires Western European cultivation and ensures full traceability of the fiber. The printed fabric weighs 185 grams per square meter, making it slightly lighter than its solid-colored siblings.

Wash at 40 degrees, iron on the reverse side

Wash the linen napkins on a delicate cycle at 40 degrees, keep the spin speed below 600 RPM, and line dry them. Use a mild detergent without bleach, as bleach will attack the printed flowers and cause them to fade. It is best to soak cream and cocoa stains in lukewarm water the same evening; then a normal wash cycle will suffice. To iron, place the linen face down while it is still damp to keep the design intact.
