Guerrieri Bianchello del Metauro DOC – Authentic White Wine from Marche

The Guerrieri Bianchello del Metauro DOC 2024 offers you an unforgettable taste experience from the heart of Marche.

Imagine standing amidst the rolling hills of Marche, surrounded by endless rows of well-tended vineyards glistening in the warm Italian sun. The air is filled with the delicate scents of blooming plants and ripe grapes. Welcome to Azienda Guerrieri – a place where tradition, nature, and dedication intertwine. Here, in the heart of this idyllic landscape, exceptional wines are created – true Marchigiani.

The Winery - Azienda Guerrieri

During my visit to the winery, I was warmly welcomed by the Guerrieri family – father Luca, daughter Maria Giulia, and son Alberto – who have cultivated these lands for five generations. The passion and love for nature embodied by every member of this family are impressive. The winery spans 48 hectares of vineyards, managed with natural farming methods. Since 2004, the winery has embraced sustainable cultivation practices that protect the soil and the environment.

The White Wine: The Guerrieri Bianchello del Metauro DOC immediately captivated me with its brilliant, bright color and greenish reflections. With the first sniff, fresh aromas of green apples, citrus fruits, and a hint of white blossoms unfold on the nose. On the palate, the wine is lively and balanced, with a pleasant acidity accompanied by fruity flavors. The minerality and subtle spice, typical of this region, lend the wine remarkable complexity and depth.

The Bianchello Grape Variety: The indigenous Bianchello grape, also known as Biancame, has a long tradition in Marche. This grape thrives particularly well along the Metauro River. The Azienda Guerrieri estate utilizes the optimal climatic conditions and fertile soil to harvest the finest grapes. Each grape is carefully hand-picked to ensure that only the highest quality makes it into the bottles.

The Production Process: The production of Guerrieri Bianchello del Metauro DOC is carried out with great care and using the most modern techniques. The grapes are gently pressed, and fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. This method preserves the freshness and natural aromas of the grapes. After fermentation, the wine rests on its lees for several months, which gives it additional structure and depth.

Perfect Pairing Combinations: During the tasting in the winery's cozy tasting room, the Guerrieri Bianchello del Metauro DOC was served to me alongside various regional specialties. Its fresh and fruity aromas make it an ideal aperitif, and it pairs excellently with light appetizers, fish dishes, seafood, and summer salads. It is also an excellent choice with mild cheeses and white meat dishes.
