Linen Tea Towel – Lava Falls

Lava Falls Linen Tea Towel by Linen Tales

The Lava Falls linen tea towel by Linen Tales is a rust-red kitchen towel made from 100 percent European linen, woven in Lithuania and stone-washed for softness. Its red is a deep, burnt shade that lacks any neon quality.

The Lava Falls Linen Tea Towel is a kitchen towel from Linen Tales in Vilnius that dries pots, covers oven handles, and buffs glassware to a shine. A loop in the corner returns it to the hook, where the linen dries quickly until the next use.

Rust-red, deeply burnt, and without neon effects

Lava Falls carries the deep red of cooled lava, with enough brown in it to ensure it is anything but a bright, signal red. Next to copper, cast iron, and dark wood, this shade looks as if it has been part of the inventory for years, and in a light-colored kitchen, it provides a striking accent. It relates to the terracotta of Baked Clay like embers to fired clay, and together on a hook, they create a gradation that no single tone could achieve. During the Advent season, it fits in without any extra decoration.

Where tomato splatters go unnoticed

A dark red base absorbs water spots without showing them, and even tomato sauce leaves no visible marks. Light-colored kitchen linens require caution, but this towel does not, turning it into a tool rather than a display piece. Those who cook often and with pleasure choose the darker shades of the Linen Tales range for good reason, leaving the lighter ones for the dining table. With this shade, no one needs to fear signs of wear.

Two towels on the hook are enough for a day of cooking

When cooking for guests, two tasks run simultaneously: hands and countertops need to stay dry, while glasses and cutlery need to be polished clean. One towel handles the rougher work, while the second remains reserved for the dishes; because the fiber dries out on the hook in between, this pair lasts the entire evening. With cotton, you would need reinforcements from the drawer by the appetizer at the latest, as the pile becomes saturated and damp. After the last course, both towels head to the laundry drum together.

Cut and double-hemmed in Vilnius

In the workshop, a small team cuts the washed bolts by hand and double-folds all four edges to ensure no threads come loose later. Each towel is then rolled individually into a paper band, ready to be given as a gift without further effort. Two bold tones side-by-side make a gift that requires no wrapping paper. For a housewarming, it is a thoughtful gesture that will actually be put to use.

Wash at 40 degrees, separately for the first time

Wash the linen tea towel at a maximum of 40 degrees on a gentle cycle and use a mild detergent without bleach so that the rust-red retains its depth. Keep the spin cycle below 600 RPM and air-dry the towel. During the first wash, it should be the only thing in the drum; afterwards, it may be washed with other towels.
