Tea towel with golden chicken for country living
The Chicken in Gold tea towel from 17;30 is a kitchen towel made of pure cotton with a charming chicken motif, designed in Hamburg and screen-printed by hand. A golden greeting for country living and the Easter table.
Tea towel with a motif is what 17;30 likes to call a piece of country charm. A chicken in shimmering gold stands on a light background, drawn with pride and a wink. 50 x 70 cm of pure cotton that dries reliably and brings a good mood to the kitchen.
A golden chicken with pride
The chicken shines golden on a light background, upright and full of character. It suits everyone who loves country life, whether on the farm or in a city kitchen.
The motif is applied by hand using screen printing; the gold shimmers warmly rather than brightly. Rustic, golden, and friendly—that's how the Hamburg team likes it. Because each towel goes through the printing process individually, no two are exactly alike; little quirks are part of it and make your item uniquely yours.
For Easter, the chicken is an obvious greeting, and all year round it's a warm eye-catcher for chicken lovers and everyone with a penchant for the rural.
Drying with a golden shimmer
The cotton towel absorbs water from glasses, plates, and hands without leaving any lint behind. A reliable kitchen towel for every day.
It can go in the machine at up to 60 degrees; when ironed, it lies smooth over the rail and the gold stays beautiful. Pure cotton is the classic among tea towels; it absorbs a lot of water and becomes softer rather than worn out over the years. Hung up for Easter brunch, the golden chicken gets the rail in a festive mood in advance.
Thrown over the shoulder or on the hook next to the stove, it is quickly at hand. You can find more tea towels in our kitchen corner.
Placed over the bread basket, as a mat for freshly collected eggs, or over your shoulder while baking, the chicken towel looks good anywhere. It brings a bit of farm atmosphere to the table, even without a garden of your own.
A Hamburg idea from 2010
Behind 17;30 is a team from Hamburg that Anna Upleger founded on the Elbe in 2010 and that Quinn Upleger leads today.
The brand name refers to the time of day when the workday ends on the Elbe: half past five. The first maritime lanyards evolved from 2016 onwards into cards, paper bags, and tea towels with character. A tea towel is not just any tea towel, as Quinn Upleger likes to emphasize. 100 percent cotton, woven in India, refined with screen printing in Hamburg.
The wine was delicious, the mood was magnificent, and at exactly half past five, the decision was made to make beautiful things—that's the story often told about the founding on the Elbe. That lightness is still in every print to this day, from cheeky sayings to the golden chicken, and turns a towel into a little piece of Hamburg.
A golden gift for Easter
Each towel comes individually with a paper band, ready to be gifted without extra packaging.
