Tea towel with ice cream motif in pink and orange
The ice cream tea towel from 17;30 is a kitchen towel made of pure cotton with a cheerful ice cream print in pink and orange, designed in Hamburg and screen-printed by hand. A piece of summer for the kitchen, all year round.
Tea towel with a motif means color and good vibes at 17;30. On a light background, an ice cream cone shines in pink and orange, as if fresh from the ice cream parlor. 50 x 70 cm of pure cotton that dries reliably while evoking warm afternoons by the water, even when autumn has long arrived outside.
Pink and orange like at the ice cream shop
The ice cream print shines with summer vibes on a light background, a splash of color in any kitchen. It almost makes you want a scoop in a crispy cone.
The motif is applied by hand using screen printing, layer by layer, in a pink-orange that tastes of holidays and beach promenades. Summery, colorful, and playful—this is how the Hamburg team understands their motifs. Because each towel is printed individually, no two are exactly alike; minor quirks are part of the charm.
The ice cream motif awakens childhood memories—of sticky fingers, the line in front of the ice cream shop, and the first truly warm day of the year. The towel brings such images to the sink every morning.
Drying dishes with a summer feeling
The cotton towel absorbs water from ice cream bowls, glasses, and hands without leaving lint behind. A light companion for the warm season and beyond.
It can go in the machine at up to 60 degrees; ironed, it lies smooth over the rail, and the colors remain vibrant. Cotton is easy to care for, absorbent, and durable, so such a towel lasts for many years and is happy to be used daily. A summery gift for a garden party, rolled up in the paper band it already comes in.
Placed over the fruit basket, tucked under ice cream bowls, or simply tossed over the back of a chair, the towel brings a touch of color anywhere. You can find more tea towels in our kitchen corner.
A Hamburg idea from 2010
Behind 17;30 is a team from Hamburg, which Anna Upleger founded on the Elbe in 2010 and which Quinn Upleger leads today.
The name refers to the time to clock off, half-past five, and exactly that lightness is in the colorful motifs. Starting in 2016, maritime lanyards turned into cards, paper bags, and tea towels with character. As Quinn Upleger likes to emphasize, a tea towel is not just a tea towel. 100 percent cotton, woven in India, finished in Hamburg with screen printing.
The wine was delicious, the mood was magnificent, and at half-past five, the decision was made to make beautiful things—that’s how the story of the founding is often told. This summer mood is still carried by the ice cream towel into every kitchen today, regardless of what season the calendar claims it is.
