Tea towel with hearts in pink and orange
The Hearts in Pink and Orange tea towel from 17;30 is a kitchen towel made of pure cotton with a cheerful heart motif, designed in Hamburg and hand-printed. A little declaration of love for the kitchen.
Tea towel with a motif means color and feeling at 17;30. On a light background, hearts in pink and orange shine across the kitchen towel—cheerful rather than kitschy. 50 x 70 cm of pure cotton that dries reliably and brings a little affection to the sink.
Hearts that aren't kitschy
The hearts shine in pink and orange against a light background—cheerful and modern instead of corny. A declaration of love that even skeptics will like.
The motif is applied by hand using screen printing, layer by layer, in warm tones that put you in a good mood. Heartfelt, colorful, and cheerful—that’s how the Hamburg team describes their motifs. Because every towel goes through the printing process individually, no two are exactly alike; small quirks are part of the process and make your item uniquely yours.
A bullseye for Valentine's Day, and a warm splash of color all year round for anyone who likes their kitchen to look a bit "in love."
Drying up with heart
The cotton towel absorbs water from glasses, plates, and hands without leaving lint behind. A cheerful helper for every day in the kitchen.
It can go in the machine at up to 60 degrees, lies smooth over the rail when ironed, and the colors remain vibrant. Pure cotton is the classic among tea towels; it absorbs plenty of water and gets softer, not tired, over the years. During a shared evening of cooking, the hearts on the rail match the mood in the room.
Thrown over your shoulder or on the hook next to the stove, it is quickly at hand. You can find more tea towels in our kitchen corner.
A Hamburg idea from 2010
Behind 17;30 is a team from Hamburg, which Anna Upleger founded on the Elbe in 2010 and which Quinn Upleger leads today.
The brand name refers to the time when the workday ends on the Elbe: half past five. From the first maritime lanyards, the range grew from 2016 onwards to include cards, paper bags, and tea towels with character. A tea towel is not just a tea towel, as Quinn Upleger likes to emphasize. 100 percent cotton, woven in India, finished with screen printing in Hamburg.
The wine was delicious, the mood was magnificent, and at exactly half past five, the decision was made to make beautiful things—that’s how the founding story is often told on the Elbe. An idea among friends became a brand that now brings cards, bags, and towels into many kitchens. That sense of ease from "half past five" is still in every print today, from the cheeky slogans to the bright hearts. What began as a small project has long since become a staple for everyone who likes their kitchen a little more expressive.
