Tea towel with carrot in neon orange
The Carrot tea towel by 17;30 is a kitchen towel made of pure cotton with a cheerful carrot motif in neon orange, designed in Hamburg and hand-printed. A crisp splash of color for the kitchen.
Tea towel with a motif means color and good vibes at 17;30. On a light background, a carrot in vibrant neon orange shines across the kitchen towel, as crisp as if it were fresh from the patch. 50 x 70 cm of pure cotton that dries reliably and brings a piece of the vegetable garden into your kitchen.
Neon orange that pops
The carrot glows in a rich neon orange against a light background, a splash of color that wakes up any kitchen. You can practically see how fresh it is.
The motif is applied by hand using screen printing in an orange that looks like garden and harvest time. Crisp, colorful, and cheerful—that’s how the Hamburg team approaches their designs. Because each towel is printed individually, no two are exactly alike; small quirks are part of the process and make your item truly yours.
For anyone who grows their own root vegetables, loves snacking on carrots, or simply wants a splash of color, the carrot is a cheerful companion.
Drying up with a garden greeting
The cotton towel absorbs water from glasses, plates, and freshly washed vegetables without leaving lint behind. A cheerful helper for every day in the kitchen.
It can be machine washed at up to 60 degrees; ironed, it lies smooth over the rail, and the orange remains vibrant. Pure cotton is the classic choice for tea towels; it absorbs plenty of water and becomes softer, not more tired, over the years. It makes a grand appearance at harvest time, when the kitchen smells of fresh vegetables.
Thrown over your shoulder or hanging on a hook next to the stove, it is always close at hand. You can find more tea towels in our kitchen corner.
Placed over the vegetable basket, tucked under freshly washed carrots, or worn over your shoulder while chopping, the carrot towel brings a crisp splash of color everywhere. In a simple kitchen, it quickly becomes the cheeriest spot on the wall.
A Hamburg idea from 2010
Behind 17;30 is a team from Hamburg, founded by Anna Upleger in 2010 on the Elbe and now led by Quinn Upleger.
The brand name refers to the time when the workday ends on the Elbe: 5:30 PM. Starting in 2016, the initial maritime keychains evolved into cards, paper bags, and tea towels with character. A tea towel is not just a tea towel, as Quinn Upleger likes to emphasize. 100 percent cotton, woven in India, and finished in Hamburg with screen printing.
The wine was delicious, the mood was magnificent, and at exactly 5:30, the decision to make beautiful things was set—that’s the story of the founding on the Elbe. This lightheartedness is still in every print today, from cheeky sayings to the crisp carrot.
