Organic Red – sparkling like a Secco

The Prisecco Organic Red is one of three classic Priseccos (White, Red, Rosé) in organic quality. The basis for the Prisecco Organic Red is the juice of hand-picked old apple and pear varieties from traditional meadow orchards on the Swabian Alb, paired with the juice of red and black currants, as well as aronia juice. By using extracts of rooibos and pu-erh tea, as well as meadowsweet and a composition of a variety of herbs, blossoms, and spices, Jörg Geiger achieves balance and complexity. Meadowsweet, also known as a medicinal herb, is found in the nature of old orchard meadows and brings its scent into the Prisecco Organic Red. In the glass, it is a beautiful, bold red. On the nose, ripe apples, red berry fruit, fresh tart notes, and soft ethereal hints. On the palate, it shows notes of subtle sweetness carried by apple and cassis, which forms an exciting arc to the spicy apple acidity and ends in a medium-long, dry finish with well-integrated tannins. A fragrant aperitif and a great companion to goat cheese with rosemary and honey, summer salads with raspberries, grilled dishes, or desserts with berry fruits.

Prisecco – from the Manufaktur Jörg Geiger

The PriSecco is the best-selling specialty of Manufaktur Jörg Geiger. Sophisticated and balanced, they surprise with enormous complexity. The lack of alcohol is not perceived as a deficiency, quite the contrary. PriSecco fills a gap for new, modern, non-alcoholic drinks based on old fruit varieties. The old apple and perry pear varieties come from the landscape-defining meadow orchards along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Alb – hand-picked, ripened, and gently processed at the manufactory of Jörg Geiger, who has already received several awards for his juices (including from Slow Food). Due to their distinct aromatics, with the acidity of old apple varieties and the emphasized tannin note of the pear, these juices form a very special, natural basis for the Geiger Prisecco varieties. Jörg Geiger has made his Prisecco sparkling and stimulating. And thus, the Prisecco Organic Red represents a good non-alcoholic alternative for an aperitif.
