The Prisecco Cuvée No. 15 from the Manufaktur Jörg Geiger is an exciting, extremely popular Prisecco characterized by fresh, fruity pears combined with caramel-like, nutty coffee notes. Non-alcoholic and sparkling, pleasantly dry, yet incredibly fruity, it is a perfect aperitif for everyone at the table when served well-chilled, and an excellent companion to food.

Cuvée No. 15 – Perry pear, apple, and coffee

Right from the start, this Prisecco entices with a balanced combination of fragrant, sweet "Gelbmöstler" pear, the lively acidity of heirloom apple varieties like Berlepsch and Gewürzluike, and the caramel-like roasted notes of Bourbon coffee roasted in copper drums, sourced from the Finca Sonora in the highlands of Mexico. The first impression on the palate presents vibrant fruit with balanced acidity, reminiscent above all of ripe yellow fruits. Then, subtly bitter roasted notes of coffee and nuts, along with a hint of caramel, mingle with the fruit. In the long finish, the coffee lingers on the palate for a long time without overpowering the delicate fruit.

Food pairing: Naturally, it pairs well with all combinations involving coffee, from appetizers to a veal fillet with a coffee crust, and even desserts like tiramisu. It also goes well with dishes featuring roasted hazelnuts and other nuts.

The PriSecco is the best-selling specialty of Manufaktur Jörg Geiger. Sophisticated and balanced, all Prisecco varieties surprise with their enormous complexity. The absence of alcohol is not felt as a deficiency; on the contrary. PriSecco fills a gap for new, modern, non-alcoholic drinks based on old fruit varieties. The heirloom apple and perry pear varieties come from the landscape-defining meadow orchards along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Jura—hand-picked, ripened, and carefully processed at the manufactory of Jörg Geiger, who has already received several awards (including from Slow Food) for his juices. Thanks to their distinct aromatics, the acidity of old apple varieties, and the pronounced tannin notes of the pears, these juices form a very special, natural foundation for the Geiger Prisecco varieties.

We have known the owner of the Geiger manufactory, Jörg Geiger, personally for many years. The Prisecco manufactory is located in Schlat near Göppingen, where I lived myself for several years. Jörg Geiger began producing non-alcoholic fruit-based cocktails more as a hobby. He has since gained a great deal of knowledge about the preparation of this non-alcoholic specialty, as well as about old fruit varieties and the use of herbs. In addition to high-end gastronomy, where his Prisecco is popular as a non-alcoholic aperitif and a companion to food, more and more people are enjoying their favorite Prisecco at home.
