The Prisecco Cuvée No. 28 from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger is a perfect combination of apple and pear with the herbaceous, fragrant notes of fresh lemon balm. Alcohol-free and sparkling, organic and vegan, pleasantly dry yet wonderfully fruity, it's a great chilled alternative to sparkling wine as an aperitif or wine as a meal accompaniment.

Cuvée No. 28 – Apple, Emmer, and Herbs

The base for this Cuvée No. 28 by Jörg Geiger is the juice of apples and pears from traditional orchards, as well as various herbs such as lemon balm, borage, and ground elder. Ground elder is an herb from our forests, reminiscent of parsley in smell and taste. Emmer, one of the oldest grains, is known for its hearty, slightly nutty flavor. This alcohol-free cocktail impresses with its exotic, mild fruitiness and subtle hints of fresh lemon balm and herbs. On the palate, fine fruit notes of apple and pear, along with roasted emmer providing a nutty aroma in the finish.

The Prisecco Cuvée No. 28 is a wonderful summer aperitif and an ideal companion to Asian-spiced dishes, fish, and seafood.

PriSecco is the best-selling specialty of Manufaktur Jörg Geiger. Sophisticated and balanced, all Prisecco varieties surprise with enormous complexity. The lack of alcohol is not perceived as a deficiency; quite the opposite. PriSecco fills a gap for new, modernly conceived alcohol-free beverages based on old fruit varieties. The old apple and perry pear varieties come from the traditional orchards that characterize the landscape along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Alb – hand-picked, ripened, and gently processed at Jörg Geiger's manufactory, who has received several awards (including from Slow Food) for his juices. These juices, with their distinct aromatics, unique acidity of old apple varieties, and pronounced tannin notes of the pear, form a very special, natural basis for Geiger's Prisecco varieties.

We have known the owner of Manufaktur Geiger, Jörg Geiger, personally for many years. The Prisecco manufactory is located in Schlat near Göppingen, where I myself lived for several years. Jörg Geiger started making fruit-based alcohol-free cocktails more as a hobby. Since then, he has gained a great deal of knowledge about the preparation of this alcohol-free specialty, about old fruit varieties, and the use of herbs. In addition to high-end gastronomy, where his Prisecco is gladly served as an alcohol-free aperitif and as a meal accompaniment, more and more people are also enjoying their favorite Prisecco at home. We are very happy about this, because ordering Prisecco online has been possible with us for more than 15 years.
