The Prisecco Cuvée No. 7 from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger is a non-alcoholic Prisecco with the fresh scent of subtly spiced pears and aromatic, sweet damsons. Non-alcoholic and sparkling, pleasantly dry, yet fabulously fruity, it is, when well-chilled, an aperitif for everyone at the table and a fine accompaniment to food.

Cuvée No. 7 – Damson, Gelbmöstler Pear, Lemon Verbena

The basis for this Cuvée No. 7 from Jörg Geiger is the juice of perry pears and aromatic damsons. The fragrant Gelbmöstler pear ripens in mid-September. Harvested early at the same time, the aromatic damson has less sweetness and more acidity. This freshness is further enhanced by the herbs. This non-alcoholic cocktail captivates with the sensual scent of ripe fruit, spicy bronze fennel, and refreshing lemon verbena. The acidity of the apples creates a tension between sweetness and tartness on the palate.

Prisecco Cuvée No. 7 is an excellent companion for game and game poultry dishes, as well as pâtés and game terrines with fruit components (lingonberries, damsons), and light fruit desserts.

PriSecco is the best-selling specialty from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger. Refined and balanced, all Prisecco varieties surprise with their enormous complexity. The lack of alcohol is not perceived as a deficiency; on the contrary. PriSecco fills a gap for new, modern, non-alcoholic beverages based on old fruit varieties. The old apple and perry pear varieties come from the landscape-defining meadow orchards along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Jura—hand-picked, ripened, and gently processed at the Jörg Geiger manufactory, which has already received several awards (including from Slow Food) for its juices. Due to their distinct aromas, the acidity of old apple varieties, and the pronounced tannin notes of the pears, these juices form a very special, natural foundation for the Geiger Prisecco varieties.

We have known the owner of the Geiger manufactory, Jörg Geiger, personally for many years. The Prisecco manufactory is located in Schlat near Göppingen, where I lived for several years myself. Jörg Geiger began producing fruit-based non-alcoholic cocktails more as a hobby. He now possesses a wealth of knowledge about the preparation of this non-alcoholic specialty, old fruit varieties, and the use of herbs. In addition to fine dining establishments, where his Prisecco is popular as a non-alcoholic aperitif and food accompaniment, more and more people are enjoying their favorite Prisecco at home.
