The Prisecco Cuvée No. 10 is a Prisecco from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger defined by wild elderberry and juicy perry pears. Non-alcoholic and sparkling, pleasantly dry yet fabulously fruity, it is a great chilled aperitif for everyone at the table and an excellent food pairing.

Cuvée No. 10 – Perry Pear and Wild Elderberry

The base for this cuvée is formed by tart pears from meadow orchards and the juice of wild elderberries. Following old recipes, freshly cut leaves from our oak forests were added to the perry pears during pressing. The finish was achieved with bee balm from the Keltenhof and select spices. This non-alcoholic cocktail impresses with its elegant fruity tartness and a long, intense finish of elderberry. It is particularly suitable as an accompaniment to food, such as roasted and braised beef and lamb with bold spices. Please note that PriSecco Cuvée No. 10 will only be available for a limited time due to its seasonal ingredients.

Prisecco Cuvée No. 10 is deep dark red in color, featuring intensive black elderberries, wild-harvested, paired with the delicate fragrance of green pears and underlined by earthy, nutty notes. A sparkling fresh start transitions immediately into the full-bodied notes of elderberries with light hints of blackberries and blueberries; mild acidity harmonizes with a subtly peppery spiciness, resulting in an exciting mid-palate of fruit and spice with little sweetness; tart malty notes lead into the medium-length finish. Prisecco No. 10 is a berry-fruity aperitif and a great companion to roasted and braised beef and lamb with bold spices.

Prisecco non-alcoholic – from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger

PriSecco is the best-selling specialty of Manufaktur Jörg Geiger. Refined and balanced, all Prisecco varieties surprise with enormous complexity. The lack of alcohol is not perceived as a deficiency; quite the opposite. PriSecco fills a gap for new, modern-conceived non-alcoholic beverages based on old fruit varieties. The old apple and perry pear varieties come from the landscape-defining meadow orchards along the bird sanctuary at the foot of the Swabian Alb – hand-picked, ripened, and processed with care at the Manufaktur of Jörg Geiger, who has already received several awards for his juices (including from Slow Food). Due to their distinct aromatic profile, with the acidity of old apple varieties and the emphasized tannin note of the pear, these juices form a very special, natural base for the Geiger Prisecco varieties.

We have known the owner of Manufaktur Geiger, Jörg Geiger, personally for many years. The Prisecco manufacture is located in Schlat near Göppingen, where I lived for several years myself. Jörg Geiger started making fruit-based non-alcoholic cocktails more as a hobby. In the meantime, he has acquired a great deal of knowledge about preparing this non-alcoholic specialty, as well as about old fruit varieties and the use of herbs. In addition to high-end gastronomy, where his Prisecco is often served as a non-alcoholic aperitif and food pairing, more and more people are enjoying their favorite Prisecco at home.
