Wool, virgin wool or lamb's wool - what's the difference?

Wool is a natural and renewable raw material. This blanket is made from 100% lamb's wool. Lamb's wool refers to the wool from the (very) first shearing of a sheep or lamb, within the first 6 months of life. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. Like virgin wool, it is usually obtained from living sheep, mostly in spring, as much as possible in one piece. After shearing, the wool is combed and loosened before being beautifully dyed smokey blue and spun into yarn. The Klippan Stella blankets are then woven from this wool.
