Eco wool – naturally!

Klippan is now proud to produce wool blankets made from organically produced wool. The organic lamb's wool is completely free of pesticides; no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the breeding of the sheep or in their species-appropriate keeping.

Eco wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The organic lamb's wool comes from lambs no older than six months. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the eco wool is combed and loosened before being wonderfully light green dyed, spun into yarn and then woven into this dreamlike blanket. It is hardly scratchy, breathable and has excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure that the blanket feels soft, which is why the Ökotex certified lamb's wool is pre-combed, however, this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be and the blanket sheds a little at the beginning.

The light green living room blanket Ralph can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on the wool wash program of your washing machine. Reduce the spin speed as much as possible so that the blanket does not felt. To ensure that you enjoy your wool blanket for a long time, it is best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Remember that the natural wool fat has a self-cleaning effect and you wash it out little by little with every wash. It is best to hang the lamb's wool blanket outside on the line to air out. Airing also helps wonderfully against any sheep smell that may occur at the beginning.
