Eco wool – naturally!

Klippan is now proud to produce wool blankets made from ecologically produced wool. The ecological lambswool is completely free of pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the breeding of the sheep or their species-appropriate keeping.

Eco wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The ecological lambswool comes from lambs no older than six months. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the eco-wool is combed and loosened before being wonderfully dark grey dyed, spun into yarn, and then woven into this dreamlike blanket. It is hardly scratchy, breathable, and has excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure that the blanket feels soft; for this, the Oekotex certified lambswool is extra pre-combed. Nevertheless, this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket sheds a bit, especially at the beginning.

The dark grey Ralph throw can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on the wool wash program of your washing machine. Reduce the spin speed as much as possible so that the blanket does not felt. To ensure that you enjoy your wool blanket for a long time, it is best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Keep in mind that the natural wool fat has a self-cleaning effect, and you wash it out gradually with each wash. It is best to hang the lambswool blanket outside on the line to air it out. Airing out also helps excellently against the sheep smell that may occur at the beginning.
