Eco wool – naturally!

Klippan is now proud to produce wool blankets from ecologically produced wool. The ecological lamb's wool is completely free from pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the rearing of the sheep or their species-appropriate keeping.

Eco wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The ecological lamb's wool comes from lambs no older than six months. It is particularly soft because the fibres are still very fine. After shearing, the eco wool is combed and fluffed before being dyed a wonderful light grey, spun into yarn, and then woven into this dream blanket. It is hardly scratchy, breathable, and possesses excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure the blanket feels soft; for this, the Oeko-Tex certified lamb's wool is extra pre-combed. Nevertheless, this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket sheds a little, especially at the beginning.

The light grey throw blanket Ralph can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on your washing machine's wool wash cycle. Reduce the spin speed as much as possible so that the blanket does not felt. To enjoy your wool blanket for a long time, it's best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Remember that natural wool grease has a self-cleaning effect and you wash it out little by little with each wash. It is best to hang the lamb's wool blanket outside on the line to air out. Airing out also helps excellently against any sheep smell that may be present at the beginning.
