Organic wool - naturally!

Klippan is now proud to also produce wool blankets made from organically produced wool. The organic lamb's wool is completely free of pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the rearing of the sheep and their species-appropriate keeping.

Organic wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The organic lamb's wool comes from lambs that are a maximum of six months old. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the organic wool is combed and loosened before it is wonderfully dyed mustard-yellow, spun into yarn, and then woven into this dreamlike blanket. It is hardly scratchy, breathable, and has excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure that the blanket feels soft; for this, the Oeko-Tex certified lamb's wool is extra pre-combed, yet this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket sheds a little, especially at the beginning.

The mustard-yellow throw blanket Ralph can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on the wool wash cycle of your washing machine. Reduce the spin speed as much as possible so that the blanket does not felt. To ensure that you enjoy your wool blanket for a long time, it is best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Remember that the natural wool fat has a self-cleaning effect, and you gradually wash it out with each wash. It is best to hang the lamb's wool blanket outside on the line to air it out. Airing it out also helps wonderfully against any sheep odor that may occur at the beginning.
