gluegglich Rosé, a natural rosé wine
The gluegglich Rosé from Fred Loimer is an organic rosé wine from the Thermenregion, a cuvée of Zweigelt, St. Laurent, and Pinot Noir. Bone-dry, refreshing, and unfiltered – a lively rosé that is incredibly easy to drink.
gluegglich Rosé is the natural rosé wine from the Fred Loimer winery, a cuvée made from three Austrian grape varieties. Spontaneously fermented, unfiltered, and unfined – an honest, uncomplicated summer wine, crafted like in the old days, with the knowledge of today.
Plum, raspberry, tart cranberry
On the nose, the rosé is fragrant with juicy plums and ripe red berries—raspberry, tart cranberry, and a touch of bitter blood orange.
On the palate, it is punchy and refreshing, bone-dry and light-footed, with a textured grip and a long finish. At only 10.5% ABV, this is a rosé that leaves you wanting another glass. Summer in a glass.
Well-chilled, a universal companion
Its freshness and delicate prickle make the gluegglich Rosé a versatile partner for light cuisine.
Served well-chilled, it pairs perfectly with appetizers, salads, grilled vegetables, or light meats—a rosé that works just as well solo on the patio. Serve at 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. You can find more from the producer under other wines from the Fred Loimer winery.
Three varieties, partially fermented on the skins
The grapes grow on 10 to 20-year-old vines in Gumpoldskirchen, at an altitude of 240 to 270 meters, cultivated biodynamically. They are harvested by hand in 20-kilo crates.
Partially destemmed, partially pressed as whole clusters, the must ferments spontaneously, with a portion on the skins in oak barrels. The wine matures for four months on the gross lees and another two on the fine lees before being bottled unfiltered and unfined.
“Wine crafted like in the old days, with the knowledge of today,” says Fred about his house wine. Dry, with fresh acidity and vitality. If you like the other versions, you can also find the gluegglich White and the gluegglich Red in our shop.
A glass on the terrace, that’s all you need
Well-chilled at 8 to 10 degrees, the rosé shows its full sparkle and freshness. Best enjoyed young, when it is most vibrant. At 10.5% ABV, a lightweight for warm days. A glass on the terrace—a summer evening doesn't need anything more.
