Birch – The Scent of the Alps
It is considered the tree of life, love, feminine beauty, and happiness: the BIRCH. With its enormous resilience, cold resistance, and reproductive capacity, it is the paramount symbol of new beginnings, spring, and, above all, light. On February 2nd, Candlemas, the beginning of the agricultural year and the reawakening of light in the annual cycle are celebrated with birch branches. In the Tyrolean Corpus Christi procession, village streets are lined with young birch trunks. In Great Britain, the start of the business year is traditionally determined by the budding of birches around April 1st. We imagined the scent of birch, if it were to have a strong scent, as light-footed, caressing, enlightening – just like Tyrolean Pure Birch Soap.
Tyrolean Pure – Soap Bar
Exquisite ingredients, at least 3 milling processes, exceptional alpine fragrances, and plastic-free packaging distinguish the Tyrolean Pure Soaps from Walde. For the basic substance of the soap, Tyrolean Pure chose shea butter, as there is no native plant-based soap base that comes close to its quality. The shea butter from the nuts of the shea tree comes from Burkina Faso in West Africa. The nuts are collected as part of a women's project called ABPJF (Association Burkinabé pour la Promotion de la Jeune Fille), founded in 2009.
The special thing about the vegetable fat of shea butter is its excellent refatting properties. Every bar of Tyrolean Pure soap is 100 percent biodegradable and also completely disappears in the bathroom: Thanks to its low water and air content, the soap does not crumble into small pieces after being used for a while, but remains a smooth, wonderfully fragrant piece of soap with a fine, creamy lather until the very end.
The fragrances of Tyrolean Pure are masterfully composed scents, inspired by nature.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates centuries of knowledge from the Walde family of soap makers to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the washerwomen of Sellrain and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, alpine spikenard, cowslip as a harbinger of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, to elderberry, which conveys protection and security.
