Swiss Pine – the scent of the Alps
The extraordinary powers of the majestic SWISS PINE, which can live for up to 1,000 years, have been appreciated and utilized for centuries. Our ancestors already used the wood in a variety of ways. Heated debates were held in cozy Swiss pine parlors, children were placed in cradles made of Swiss pine wood, and valuable clothing was stored in Swiss pine chests. The unmistakable fragrance of our soaps, for which we use pure Tyrolean Swiss pine oil, reflects the primal power of the "Queen of the Alps," as the Pinus cembra is rightly called.
Tiroler Reine – Liquid Soap from Innsbruck
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps are authentic soaps: unlike conventional liquid soaps, they are produced according to traditional manufacturing methods in soap-based kettles – without synthetic surfactants, but with natural glycerin content. The selected raw materials consist of high-quality, nourishing olive and coconut oils, beeswax, which contributes to a pleasant consistency, and Tyrolean beef tallow, which was already used in earlier times for the production of soaps. This traditional and local ingredient has a moisturizing effect and ensures a fine, creamy lather.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde soap-maker family to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the washerwomen of Sellrain and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, the alpine valerian, the cowslip as a harbinger of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and a sense of security.
These bottles are, however, slightly thinner, which leads to indentations during filling. If you open the flip-top cap briefly, the indented area will return to its original shape.
No preservatives or emulsifiers are added to Tiroler Reine liquid soaps. As a result, changes in viscosity or color settling may occur from time to time. Warmth will restore them: place the bottle in a sunny window for a few hours, shake well afterwards, and everything will be as it was before.
