Tiroler Reine – Alpine Spikenard – Liquid Soap 300ml
The Tiroler Reine Alpine Spikenard liquid soap has a wonderfully aromatic scent, like the blossoms of the spikenard lavender. This liquid soap, which can be used for both hand washing and showering, stands for tranquility.
Alpine Spikenard – the scent of the Alps
When the slopes of the Alps glow crimson from May to June, even above the tree line, the flowering season of the ALPENROSE has begun or is approaching its peak. The heather plant Alpenrose, also called Alpine Rose, Donnerrösl or Almrausch, was attributed various, sometimes contradictory, properties by the common people: Superstitious mountaineers threw their bouquets of Alpenrose far away when a thunderstorm approached, for fear of being struck by lightning. North Tyrolean farmers, however, nailed Alpenrose to the ridge beams of their farms to protect them from "thunder and lightning." In the romantic language of flowers, it is a symbol of lovers. If a secret admirer brought an Alpenrose to his beloved, it meant "When will we see each other again?" and was supposed to promise future happiness. The delicate and sweet scent of the soap is meant to evoke this incomparable feeling of first love.
Tiroler Reine – Liquid soap with fine lather
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps are true soaps: In contrast to conventional liquid soaps, they are produced using traditional manufacturing methods in kettles on a soap basis – without synthetic surfactants, but with a natural glycerin content. The selected basic raw materials are high-quality, nourishing olive and coconut oils, beeswax, which contributes to the pleasant consistency, and Tyrolean beef tallow, which was already used in earlier times for making soaps. This traditional and local ingredient has a moisturizing effect and ensures a fine, creamy lather.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde soap maker family to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the Sellrain washerwomen and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, the alpine spikenard, to primroses as harbingers of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and security.
NOTE – Since spring 2020, Walde has been using bottles with a recycled plastic content. Walde Soaps aims to improve sustainability in this area. However, these bottles are slightly thinner, which leads to indentations during filling. If you briefly open the flip-top cap, the indented area will even out again.
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps contain no added preservatives or emulsifiers. This can occasionally lead to changes in viscosity or color separation. Our tip provides a quick remedy: place the liquid soaps in a warm place for a few hours, e.g. by the window in the sun, and then shake them well - and the original state will be restored.
