What would spring be without COWSLIP! When the delicately scented, bright yellow flowers emerge into the light, they herald new life after the long cold season. Thus, Primula veris, the "little firstling," is a symbol of hope, youth, innocence, the opening of the heavens, and above all, spring, the season of the great awakening. Numerous myths and legends surround the unique arrangement of the flowers, which resembles a bunch of keys, claiming that this magical blossom can unlock doors to mysterious treasures. When the morning awakening is accompanied by the unmistakably sweet, delicate, heavenly scent of this soap, spring enters our bathroom for a moment.
Tiroler Reine – Liquid soap from Austria
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps are authentic soaps: unlike conventional liquid soaps, they are produced using traditional kettle-based manufacturing methods – without synthetic surfactants, but with natural glycerin content. The selected base ingredients consist of high-quality, nourishing olive and coconut oils, beeswax, which contributes to a pleasant consistency, and Tyrolean beef tallow, which was used for soap production in earlier times. This traditional, local ingredient has a refatting effect and provides a fine, creamy lather.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde family of soap boilers to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the washerwomen of Sellrain and glacier milk, to alpine roses and love, forget-me-nots, the resilience of the birch, alpine valerian, cowslips as heralds of spring, and the freshness of mountain mint, to elderberry, which conveys protection and comfort.
However, these bottles are slightly thinner, which can lead to indentations during filling. If you open the flip-top cap for a moment, the dented area will pop back out.
No preservatives or emulsifiers are added to Tiroler Reine liquid soaps. As a result, changes in viscosity or color settling may occasionally occur. A warm spot is all it takes: a few hours of sun on the windowsill and a vigorous shake will return the liquid soap to its original state.
