Tiroler Reine – Alpine Rose – Liquid Soap 300ml
The Tiroler Reine Alpine Rose liquid soap has an intensely floral scent, like the abundant blossoms of the alpine rose. This liquid soap, which can be used for both handwashing and showering, symbolizes love.
Alpine Rose – the scent of the Alps
When the slopes of the Alps glow crimson from May to June, reaching above the tree line, the blooming season of the ALPINE ROSE has begun or is nearing its peak. The heather-like plant, also known as alpine rose, rhododendron, or alpine blossom, was attributed various, sometimes contradictory, properties by popular belief: Superstitious mountain hikers would throw their alpine rose bouquet far away if a thunderstorm approached, fearing being struck by lightning. North Tyrolean farmers, however, nailed alpine roses to the ridge beams of their farms to protect them from "thunder and lightning." In the language of flowers of the Romantic era, it is a symbol for lovers. If a secret admirer brought his beloved an alpine rose, it meant "When will we see each other again?" and was meant to promise future happiness. The delicate, sweet scent of the soap is meant to evoke this incomparable, intimate feeling of first love.
Tiroler Reine – Liquid soap with local ingredients
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps are true soaps: Unlike conventional liquid soaps, they are produced using traditional manufacturing methods in kettles based on soap – without synthetic surfactants, but with natural glycerin content. The selected basic raw materials include high-quality, nourishing olive and coconut oils, beeswax, which contributes to the pleasant consistency, as well as Tyrolean beef tallow, which was already used in earlier times for soap production. This traditional and local ingredient has a re-fattening effect and ensures a fine, creamy lather.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde soap-maker family to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the washerwomen of Sellrain and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, the alpine valerian, to primroses as heralds of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and security.
NOTE – Since spring 2020, Walde has been using bottles with a recycled plastic content. Walde Soaps aims to improve sustainability in this area. However, these bottles are slightly thinner, which leads to indentations during filling. If you briefly open the flip-top closure, the indented area will even out again.
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps do not contain preservatives or emulsifiers. This can occasionally lead to changes in viscosity or color separation. Our tip provides a quick remedy: place the liquid soaps in a warm place, e.g., by the window in the sun, for a few hours, then shake them well – and the original state will be restored.
