Tiroler Reine – Forget-Me-Not – Liquid Soap 300ml
The Tiroler Reine Forget-Me-Not Liquid Soap has a wonderfully floral scent, like the small blue forget-me-not blossoms, and is free from synthetic surfactants. This liquid soap, which can be used for both hand washing and showering, symbolizes remembrance.
Forget-Me-Not – the blue scent of the Alps
Perhaps it's the small yellow stars amidst the intense blue of the blossoms, like stars in the sky, that touch us in a special way: from Europe to China to Japan, this flower is known by the same name everywhere: forget-me-not, ne m’oubliez pas, no-meolvides, forglan-mig-ikke, Wu Wang Cao, and VERGISSMEINNICHT (German for forget-me-not). It is the symbol of tender remembrance, loving farewell, friendship, and above all, loyalty. Many legends and poems surround this small flower: Goethe recounts in "Blümlein Wunderschön" a count who, lonely in a dungeon, had only one thought: that his beloved would not forget him. From the tower window, he chose the forget-me-not, whose sight was to promise him his beloved's faithfulness. In Shakespeare's Hamlet, Ophelia says: "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance; pray, love, remember!" The blossom and root were once used in love spells. For the Tiroler Reine Forget-Me-Not soap, the scent and color of the delicate blossoms were recreated – like the image of a flower meadow where the small blue flower catches the eye.
Tiroler Reine – Liquid Soap
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps are real soaps: Unlike conventional liquid soaps, they are produced using traditional methods in kettles on a soap base – without synthetic surfactants, but with natural glycerin content. The selected raw materials consist of high-quality, nourishing olive and coconut oils, beeswax, which contributes to the pleasant consistency, and Tyrolean beef tallow, which was already used in earlier times for soap production. This traditional and local ingredient has a re-fattening effect and ensures a fine, creamy lather.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde soap-maker family to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the Sellrainer washerwomen and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, alpine spikenard, to primroses as heralds of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and security.
NOTE – Since spring 2020, Walde has been using bottles with recycled plastic content. Walde Seifen aims to improve sustainability in this area. However, these bottles are slightly thinner, which leads to indentations during filling. If you briefly open the flip-top cap once, the indented area will straighten out again.
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps contain no preservatives or emulsifiers. This may occasionally lead to changes in viscosity or color separation. Our tip provides a quick remedy: place the liquid soaps in a warm spot, e.g., on a windowsill in the sun, for a few hours, then shake them well – and the original state will be restored.
