Tiroler Reine – Elderflower – Liquid Soap 300ml
The Tiroler Reine Elderflower Liquid Soap has a wonderfully fruity scent, like the night-black berries of the elderberry bush. This liquid soap, which can be used for both hand washing and showering, stands for security.
Elderflower – the scent of the Alps
Since the Middle Ages, an ELDERBERRY TREE was indispensable as a protector around house and farm. The "holuntar" was considered the "tree of Holle", the archetype of the wise earth mother, who as a good spirit was supposed to protect the inhabitants from illness and all misfortune. Therefore, it was unthinkable to fell the tree or burn its wood; the farmer respectfully doffed his hat to it. On the magical Midsummer's Eve, young girls shook its branches, hoping to see the man of their lives in the ensuing dream. The strongly scented, creamy white elderflowers appear in June in flat umbels, giving the popular elderflower syrup its unmistakable taste. The black-purple berries of autumn, processed into jam and juice, prepare us for the cold season. The Tiroler Reine Elderflower soap conveys deep strength in its color and a strong spirit in its scent.
Tiroler Reine – fine liquid soap
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps are true soaps: Unlike conventional liquid soaps, they are produced using traditional kettle-based manufacturing methods – without synthetic surfactants, but with natural glycerin content. The selected basic raw materials are high-quality, nourishing olive and coconut oils, beeswax, which contributes to the pleasant consistency, and Tyrolean beef tallow, which was already used in earlier times for soap making. This traditional and local ingredient has a refatting effect and provides a fine, creamy lather.
Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde family of soap makers to create distinctive soaps. Each soap tells its own story, from the Sellrain washerwomen and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, the alpine valerian, to primroses as harbingers of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and security.
NOTE – Since spring 2020, Walde has been using bottles with a recycled plastic content. Walde Seifen aims to improve sustainability in this area. However, these bottles are a little thinner, which leads to indentations during filling. If you briefly open the flip-top cap, the indented area will equalize again.
Tiroler Reine liquid soaps do not contain preservatives or emulsifiers. This can occasionally lead to changes in viscosity or color separation. Our tip provides a quick remedy: place the liquid soaps in a warm place, e.g., on a windowsill in the sun, for a few hours, then shake well – and the original state is restored.
