Tiroler Reine, an idea by Therese Fiegl, is a soap that incorporates the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde soap-making family to create distinctive soaps.

Each soap tells its own story, from the Sellrain washerwomen and glacier milk, to the alpine rose and love, the forget-me-not, the resilience of the birch, the alpine spikenard, to cowslip as a harbinger of spring, the freshness of mountain mint, and elderflower, which conveys protection and security.

Tiroler Reine – the good soap

Exquisite ingredients, at least 3 milling processes, and exceptional alpine fragrances characterize Tiroler Reine, soaps from the Walde company. For the soap's base substance, Tiroler Reine chose shea butter, as there is no native plant-based soap that comes close to this quality. The shea butter from the nuts of the shea tree comes from Burkina Faso, West Africa. The nuts are collected as part of a women's project called ABPJF (Association Burkinabé pour la Promotion de la Jeune Fille), established only in 2009.

What is special about the vegetable fat in shea butter is its excellent refatting properties after using the soap. The fragrances of Tiroler Reine are masterfully composed scents inspired by nature. Each piece of Tiroler Reine is 100 percent biodegradable and completely disappears even in the bathroom: because thanks to its low water and air content, the soap does not crumble into small pieces after being used for a while, but remains a smooth piece of soap until the very end.
