37° Pinot Noir Raspberry Cherry – Aromas like a red wine

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger 37° Pinot Noir Raspberry Cherry is a dry, non-alcoholic food companion made from dealcoholized Pinot Noir and fruit juice from cherries, strawberries, raspberries, grapes, blackberries, and currants, refined with herbs, blossoms, and spices.

Through the combination of dealcoholized Pinot Noir with cherry and grape juice, as well as currant and blackberry juice, a red-fruited bouquet dominates. With this base, which is further refined with herbs, blossoms, and spices, Jörg Geiger creates a drink that is reminiscent of a medium-bodied red wine.

The 37° Pinot Noir Raspberry Cherry has a distinct, fragrant aroma of red grapes, juicy red fruits, and ripe berries. On the palate, it is dry, delicate, and multi-layered with fine tannins. This makes the non-alcoholic 37-degree Pinot Noir a good food companion for fine meat dishes, mushroom and cream sauce dishes, and aged cheese, serving as a dry, non-alcoholic alternative to red wine. Recommended serving temperature 14-16 degrees.

Non-alcoholic food companion – Jörg Geiger's "Grad-Wanderung"

GRAD°WANDERUNG (a play on words meaning both "degree hike" and "tightrope walk") is the name of the new non-alcoholic line from Manufaktur Jörg Geiger, which offers four dry drinks made from dealcoholized wine refined with herbs, blossoms, and spices. Through refinement with juices and herbal extracts, a significantly more complex and diverse drink is created than a purely dealcoholized drink—a wine without alcohol—could ever be.

After all, Manufaktur Jörg Geiger has 20 years of experience in the non-alcoholic sector, its own dealcoholization plant since 2021, and works exclusively with natural raw materials and products. For example, these still food companions are neither artificially sweetened nor deacidified.

First, the red wine is gently dealcoholized. Gentle means removing the alcohol with minimal temperature application but maximum time. How low the temperature can be depends on the alcohol content of the wine used. The Riesling is dealcoholized at 32°C, the Rosé at 33°C, the Sauvignon Blanc at 35°C, the Grenache at 36°C, and the Pinot Noir at 37°C. The temperature was therefore the inspiration for the naming of this new non-alcoholic line.

Why the GRAD°WANDERUNG is not a non-alcoholic wine?

Despite all efforts, Jörg Geiger believes that pure dealcoholized wine does not live up to high-quality standards and the expectations associated with them. Although natural wine aromas are captured again through aroma recovery, the portion bound to the alcohol is inevitably lost, leading to a sensory change. For him, non-alcoholic wine remained a compromise, and not just in terms of alcohol. That is why inventor and affineur Jörg Geiger sees dealcoholized wine merely as a welcome base to create new non-alcoholic drinks with less sweetness and a new variety of fermentation aromas. With the wealth of experience from over 20 years of "rethinking non-alcoholic," based on the use of around 200 dry spices, 70 freshly harvested herbs, 20 blossoms, and self-extracted hydrolats, he succeeds in creating still, dry, and non-alcoholic food companions. Jörg Geiger removes the alcohol from the wine and replaces it with juice, herbs, blossoms, and spices. The alcohol content is generally 0.3% and always remains below the legal definition of "non-alcoholic" of <0.5% vol. That is why Manufaktur Geiger uses the international label "Alcohol removed."
