Organic wool – naturally!

Klippan is now proud to also produce wool blankets made from organically produced wool. The organic lamb's wool is completely free of pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the breeding of the sheep or their species-appropriate keeping.

Organic wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The organic lamb's wool comes from lambs that are a maximum of six months old. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the organic wool is combed and loosened before being wonderfully dyed dark yellow, spun into yarn, and then woven into this dreamlike blanket. It is hardly scratchy, breathable, and has excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure that the blanket feels soft; for this, the Oekotex-certified lamb's wool is pre-combed. Nevertheless, this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket sheds a little, especially at the beginning.

The caramel-colored throw Chevron can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or in your washing machine's wool program. Turn the spin cycle down as low as possible so that the blanket does not felt. To ensure that you enjoy your wool blanket for a long time, it is best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Remember that the natural lanolin has a self-cleaning effect, and you wash it out gradually with each wash. It is best to hang the lamb's wool blanket outside on the line to air out. Airing out also helps excellently against the sheep smell that may occur at the beginning.
