Eco wool – naturally!

Klippan is now proud to produce wool blankets from organically produced wool. The organic lamb's wool is completely free of pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the breeding of the sheep or their species-appropriate keeping.

Eco wool is a natural and renewable resource. The organic lamb's wool comes from lambs no older than six months. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the eco-wool is combed and fluffed before being wonderfully dyed red, spun into yarn, and then woven into this dreamlike blanket. It is hardly scratchy, breathable, and has excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure the blanket feels soft; for this, the Oekotex-certified lamb's wool is extra pre-combed, but this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket sheds a bit, especially at the beginning.

The ruby red throw blanket Chevron can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on the wool wash program of your washing machine. Reduce the spin speed as much as possible to prevent the blanket from felting. To ensure your wool blanket lasts a long time, it's best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Remember that the natural wool grease has a self-cleaning effect, and you wash it out little by little with each wash. It's best to hang the lamb's wool blanket outside to air out. Airing out also helps perfectly against any sheep's smell that may occur at the beginning.
