Heated debates were held in cozy Swiss pine parlors, children were placed in cradles made of Swiss pine wood, and valuable garments were stored in Swiss pine chests. Tiroler Reine – Swiss Pine Candle
Like the Tiroler Reine soaps, the Tiroler Reine Swiss Pine Candle is produced at the Walde manufactory in Innsbruck, as the Walde family looks back on a long tradition of soap making – and candles have been handcrafted here for generations. The base for these wonderful, purely natural candles consists of pure beef tallow from Tyrolean Grey cattle as well as high-quality sunflower wax and beeswax. The candles are handcrafted with great care and sensitivity; the wicks are inserted and the liquid wax is poured by hand into the stylish glasses. Fine and unobtrusive, the candles release the scent of the Alps over many hours.
To ensure the Swiss pine candle burns for as long as possible, leave it lit until a small pool forms around the wick. This allows it to burn down completely over a burn time of approx. 50 hours, leaving only a small rim of wax on the glass. Before relighting, it is advisable to trim the wick to a length of 1 cm with scissors to prevent the candle from soot. To extinguish, briefly dip the burning wick into the wax with a burnt match; this avoids the smoke produced when blowing it out and allows the Swiss pine scent to linger in the room.
